The company has received recongnition for its contributions to the Philippine seafaring industry. It has been consistently awarded as atop performer (2000, 2002, and 2005) by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration. MAGMOL’s flagship training campus, Magsaysay Institute of Shipping, was nominated as one of the three best training institutes in Asia-Pacific by Lloyds List Maritime Asia Awards for three consecutive years (2004-2006).

In 2002. MOL received the Presidential Distinction Award at the First International Employers Awards of the Department of Labor and Employment. In 2005, MOL was given the ministerial Award at the 2nd International Maritime Awards. President Akimitsu Ashida was also given the Presidential Award of Distinction.
